About the Photographer
My name is Haley Johnson and I am the human behind the lens (aka HLJ Images, LLC). In addition to photography, I am a freelance web/graphic designer located in Kansas City, MO. In 2022, I decided to pursue my equine photography passion of photographing portraits and horse shows, officially launching HLJ Images, LLC. I have a diverse equine background, having shown in dressage, hunter/jumpers, ranch horse, and all-around events. I love to dabble, meet new people and ponies, and most of all, create art!

I was always that weird horse girl in school, and I definitely still am.
Being obsessed with horses, art, and trying every sport under the sun my entire life has led me to develop a passion for multiple genres of photography, but especially all things horses. In the past I have captured everything from high school football pictures, team portraits, horse show photos, ultimate frisbee tournaments, weddings, portraits, and engagement sessions.
I love mixing it up, and I love creating beautiful images that showcase love, dedication, and commitment whether that be love for a human, pet, sport, hobby, and/or everything in between!
